Jalabiyas are traditional house dresses that exist in one form or another all over the Arab world.  Ours are cosy velvet caftans, perfect for the chilly English winter ahead.  Bishts are robes typically found in Gulf Arab countries.  Think of them as giant cardigans, or a blanket that you wear, or a beautifully embroidered jacket to wear at home.
